There are plenty of food ideas you can serve for brunch wedding ceremony and receptions. Let’s face it, brunch is the best time of day for food, and there are so many delicious brunch-inspired dishes that your guests will absolutely love.
Morning weddings or brunch weddings are usually more budget-friendly than traditional evening weddings, so this is also a great way to make a celebration that works for your budget.
So in this post, I’m sharing a roundup of brunch wedding menu ideas that are worth waking up for and that will make your wedding reception even more special.
15 Brunch Wedding Menu Ideas
Avocado Toast
Nothing screams brunch like avocado toast, right? So if you’re having a brunch wedding, this is a menu item you can’t miss.
You can go two routes here. You can either decide on one fancy avocado toast option, with a poached egg, feta cheese, pomegranate, fancy rustic bread, etc. and make those for your guests to grab OR you can make it a make-your-own bar, where you can provide avocado toast, but let your guests choose their own toppings.
If you plan on going the second route, go all out on toppings, so your guests can find their favorite combination. Provide poached eggs, fried eggs, feta cheese, goat cheese, mozzarella, tomatoes, cucumbers, smoked salmon, pomegranate, balsamic glaze, grilled tofu, or even grilled chicken breast slices.
Then, your guests can grab a piece of avocado toast, and make their own perfect combination.
French Toast
Another brunch favorite is definitely french toast. But if you want to make it as delicious as possible, provide all the toppings people could possibly like with their french toast, such as fresh fruit, chocolate chips, maple syrup, average syrup, Nutella, chocolate syrup, powdered sugar, whipped cream, and so on.
Then allow your guests to choose their own toppings.
Bite-sized Chicken & Waffles
You probably guessed this would be on the list, but how can a brunch wedding go without chicken & waffles? It’s such a classic, but for weddings, going the bite-sized route is probably the best choice. Mini versions of chicken and waffles make more sense for a wedding, as they look a bit more fancy and elevated, but still taste absolutely amazing.
You can make mini bite-sized waffles and mini bite-sized fried chicken, and put one waffle and one piece of chicken on a skewer, so your guests can grab as much as they want. You can optionally put honey or hot honey on the side, so your guests can grab some if they like.
Mini Sliders
Sliders are always a crowd-pleaser, so making different slider versions for your guests to choose from is a safe way to make sure your guests will love the food.
Cereal Bar
This is definitely not a typical wedding food, but it can make sense for a brunch wedding, especially if there will be kids present. We all know they can be super picky with their food, so having something the kids will gladly eat is a great way to make sure everyone eats. You can have cute cereal dispensers with different kinds of cereal, as well as different kinds of milk. Then, put mini bowls on the table and let your mini guests take it from there.
Doughnut Station
Okay, your wedding cake will definitely be the start of the show dessert-wise, but having a doughnut station can be such a fun idea. You can either serve gourmet doughnuts with fancy flavors, or you can even have a doughnut wall, which is so aesthetic and cute! Depending on your wedding theme, it can serve both as dessert and as decoration!
Pancake Station
Another one of the dessert food stations can be dedicated to everyone’s favorite - pancakes. Provide all sorts of toppings, from fresh fruit to Nutella or jam, so your guests can choose what they like the most.
Eggs Benedict
Eggs Benedict is another popular brunch dish, which is why it can be the perfect addition to your brunch wedding menu.
Yogurt Parfaits
Yogurt parfaits can be served in mini mason jars, and they can be the perfect snack when you need a break from the dance floor. Kids will also adore them.
Build-Your-Own Omelet Station
If your wedding is closer to morning than lunch, then build-your-own omelet station makes the perfect sense! You can have a chef make omelets right in front of people, with the ingredients of their choosing. Allow your guests to choose which cured meat, cheese, and veggies they want in the omelets, and then let the chef make everyone their perfect brunch dish. If you want to have a healthy buffet, omelets can provide protein and vitamins from veggies, as well as healthy fats from the cheese.
Mini Quiches
Quiches are not only super delicious, but they’re also elegant, which makes them perfect for weddings. Having mini versions of quiches instead of regular ones makes it easier for your guests to grab, and let’s face it - they look cuter.
Waffle Bar
Another dessert bar can be dedicated to waffles, along with all of the typical toppings people pair with them.
Crepes
For the last sweet item on this list, we can’t forget crepes! You can have fancy fillings for your guests to choose from, and really make them gourmet! You can either have a chef make them for each guest with their filling of choice, or you can decide on some flavors, and have them displayed on the crepe station for your guests to take.
Bagels
Probably one of my favorites on the list, but who doesn’t love bagels? Provide fresh bagels (you can have multiple options for the bread - everything bagels, poppy seed bagels, cheddar bagels, etc.), and lots of different toppings. Of course, cream cheese is a must, and if you want to go all out, you can provide different options for cream cheese as well (the regular one, chive one, etc.). Plus, add other topping options such as bacon, lox, tomatoes, avocado, etc.
Frittatas
Frittatas are another egg dish that can go perfectly with your brunch theme. You can have options with spinach, cheese, cured meat, etc.
