10 Winter Brunch Ideas for Wedding
Winter weddings are very special and unique. There’s a certain unique ambiance and cheer that fills the air. You get to enjoy an icy aesthetic and white, snowy backdrop against rich, warm tones (and bright lights if near the holiday season), and oftentimes with the unpredictable weather, you may find that winter weddings are usually the most economical time to tie the knot.
But the time of year to get married isn’t the only way to cut back on costs. If you’re having a winter wedding, brunch is another wonderful way to celebrate (and avoid staying out late in freezing temperatures). To get you started with some ideas, here is a round up of winter brunch ideas you can consider for your wedding.
10 Winter Brunch Ideas for Wedding
There are so many ways you can go when it comes to brunch menu ideas. Below are a few helpful hot and savory options to delight your guests, give them something to talk about, and keep them warm and satisfied over your wedding brunch food.
How To Do A Brunch Wedding In Winter
Pick a time
If you’re planning a wedding earlier in the day, a good rule of thumb is to consider having an earlier start (let’s say 9am ceremony), so you can have a more leisurely brunch affair.
Venue
While an indoor wedding venue during this time of year is ideal, an outdoor wedding venue doesn’t have to be totally out of the picture. When shopping around for venues, ask about their outdoor heating options like firepits and heated tents.
Hot Drink Bar
At winter weddings, staying warm is a top priority. Of course this can be done with your venue and food options, but another brilliant way to do that is with a hot beverage bar! So rather than sticking to orange juice and mimosas for your brunch weddings, think about hot options like a hot cocoa bar, a hot coffee (and tea) cart, and even an open bar that includes warm drink options like mulled wine, hot buttered rum, hot toddy, or other welcome drinks for wedding. All fun and creative ways to kick off your winter brunch event.
