10 Low Sugar Mocktails

Low Sugar Mocktails

A mocktail is a nonalcoholic drink consisting of a mixture of fruit juices or other soft drinks. They make a great addition to your party drinks when you’re looking to get through dry January or just want the perfect way to fancy up your alcohol-free beverage options for those who either want or need to skip on the booze due to age, pregnancy or preference —without skipping on the appeal of their cocktail counterparts of course!

However, most mocktail recipes are loaded with syrups, juices and other ingredients that are high in sugar, which can cause a spike in your blood sugar levels. So today, I’m sharing a roundup of healthy mocktail recipes that have very minimal sugar content (and still delicious!).

Lemon Drop Mocktail

This healthy mocktail version compares to the Lemon Drop martini, which includes vodka. This delicious mocktail recipe calls for lemon juice (obviously), simple syrup, chilled club soda (and ice, of course). It looks the best in a martini glass, but feel free to do whatever you think flows with your wedding theme. You can rim the glass with a natural or low calorie sweetener instead of sugar. Find the recipe here.

Apple Ginger Fizz For Fall

It has the perfect balance of apple and ginger flavors, and a lovely orange hue making it a must-have for fall weddings and parties. And the best part? There’s only 2g of sugar! Sparkling Cranberry Kombucha Mocktail

When you’re needing an alternative to sugary holiday cocktails, try this yummy recipe spotted on the real food dietitians. This healthy mocktail contains notes of ginger and rosemary, which adds a festive touch, especially when paired with the tart cranberry juice. Takes about 10 minutes to whip up and the best part is it’s only 10gs of sugar per serving!

Sunrise Grapefruit Mocktail

Try this gorgeous grapefruit mocktail with a splash of grenadine when you’re looking for healthy and easy wedding mocktails to try. Low in sugar, this healthy mocktail is not only simple to make, but it’s super delicious. It calls for grapefruit juice (fruit juice gives it a fresh taste), simple syrup, club soda, and grenadine. With only 4 ingredients, you wouldn’t think it’d be this delicious, but it is! You can find the recipe here.

Moscow Mule Mocktail

You can’t serve up mocktails without offering a classic like the Moscow Mule. Traditionally this popular cocktail is made with vodka, ginger beer, and lime juice. However, it’s very easy to make a mocktail version that’s low in sugar and tastes just as amazing!

This non-alcoholic Moscow Mule calls for club soda instead of vodka, and has fresh lime juice, ginger beer, and simple syrup (which is 1 part water, 1 part sugar). It’s a fun drink, a little bit spicy from the ginger beer, and you definitely don’t miss the vodka.

Honey Blackberry Mint Mocktail

Add this mocktail to your menu when you want a refreshing, sweet (but not too sweet), delicious, and much healthier than a traditional cocktail. Best of all, it has a natural sweetening component that contains absolutely no refined sugar! Grab a few handfuls of mint leaves, skip the simple syrup and add some decadence to your drink menu year-round for those looking for something alcohol free. Recipe here.

Cosmo Mocktail

One of the best mocktails you can serve at your wedding reception is this cosmo mocktail. It calls for cranberry juice, sparkling water, orange extract, lime juice, lime slice, and ice. The color is bright red, which looks super cool, and if red fits your wedding color scheme - even better. This would be a great option no matter if you’re having a fall wedding, a summer wedding, or spring, or winter.

Virgin Mojito
