To do a wedding dessert table or not to do one? That is the question. Wedding party desserts are like a grand finale to a wedding celebration. While a traditional wedding cake for the bride and groom will suffice, it can never be a bad idea to also offer a spread of other sweet treat varieties for the big day.

With so many options to choose from, it can make picking out which desserts to serve difficult. so whether you’re thinking about offering small cakes, donuts, cookies, cake pops, fruit tarts, whoopie pies, candies or more. Below is a round up of bite sized wedding dessert ideas for the wedding party no matter the time of year.

Ingredients

2 Tbsp Chocolate chips, semisweet, Tbsp - 120 calories

1 cup Strawberries, fresh - 50 calories

Instructions
  1. Melt chocolate chips on the stove top or in the microwave. If you don’t have time to melt, just eat chocolate chips on the side!

  2. Slice strawberries

Ice cream sundaes / banana split

  1. Peel banana, slice it in half long ways & lay flat on a plate.

2 tsp Maple Syrup (tsp) - 34 calories

1 Tbsp Coconut flour - 30 calories

¼ tsp Pumpkin seasoning - 0 calories

0.3 Tbsp White chocolate chips, Tbsp - 21 calories

Instructions
  1. Note: This recipe works best when making multiple servings at once

  2. Mix together all ingredients besides white chocolate

  3. Make ball shapes (1 serving = 3 balls)

Directions
  1. Melt chocolate chips in a small bowl in the microwave for ~60 seconds, mix with a spoon and keep heating in 30 second intervals until smooth

  2. Fill muffin tin with chocolate. Either use a silicone muffin tin, or line a small baking sheet with wax paper and make small circle shapes without a muffin tin.

  3. Makes 4 “mini muffin” bites; or 2 regular sized “muffin” bites. The picture is using a mini muffin silicone muffin tin.

  4. Top with fruit and salt.

  5. Let chill in freezer for at least 10 minutes

  6. Note: Pomegranate seeds are also shown in the picture – use 1/2 pomegranate seeds and 1/2 blueberries if you like, but sticking with just blueberries is absolutely fine – and cheaper!

Instructions
  1. Note: It’s important to only use natural peanut butter in this recipe made from only peanuts and salt, e.g. Smuckers brand

  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

  3. Mix together maple syrup and peanut butter in a bowl until a thick consistency forms

  4. Create 2 balls of “dough” and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper

  5. Press down with a fork in a cross-cross fashion to flatten the cookies & create the pattern as shown in the picture

  6. Bake for 9 minutes

  7. Let cool & harden before eating (it’s ok when they come out of the oven for them to be soft)

  8. No nuts? Use natural sunflower seed butter

Fried Apples

If you’re going for inexpensive wedding meal ideas, add these to your list!

Ingredients

1 Apple, medium - 95 calories

2 tsp Butter (tsp) - 72 calories

½ tsp Cinnamon - 0 calories

8 Tbsp Regular whipped cream - 60 calories

Instructions
  1. Slice apple into 8 or 16 slices.

  2. Melt butter in the microwave (about 20 seconds).

  3. In a bowl, mix together apples, butter, cinnamon (or pumpkin pie spice).

  4. Air fry apples for 10 minutes at 380 degrees F, or bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees F. Flip apple slices midway through (no matter if you’re using the air fryer or oven).

  5. Serve with whipped cream.

  6. No butter? Use coconut oil. No whipped cream? Use whipped coconut cream (available at most stores).

Chocolate Peppermint Marshmallows

Make your winter wedding magical with these easy to make peppermint bites.

Ingredients

3 Tbsp Chocolate chips, semisweet, Tbsp - 180 calories

½ Candy Cane - 25 calories

4 Marshmallows - 92 calories

Directions
  1. Put candy cane in a plastic bag and crush it into small pieces with a hard object (e.g. an ice cream scoop).

  2. Melt chocolate chips in the microwave, at 20 second intervals until melted.

  3. Dip one end of each marshmallow in the chocolate, top with candy cane pieces.

  4. Note: This recipe makes 4 marshmallows even though there’s 5 in the picture.

Raspberry Frozen Yogurt

Ingredients

2 oz Yogurt, plain, Greek, 2%, from tub - 43 calories

1 cup Raspberries, frozen, not sweetened - 80 calories

¼ tsp Vanilla - 0 calories

1 Tbsp Maple syrup (Tbsp) - 50 calories

Instructions
  1. This recipe works best when making at least 2 servings at once. So multiply the ingredients by at least 2 servings, and then divide by 2 or more equal sized servings at the end.

  2. Combine all ingredients in a blender, and blend until very smooth.

  3. Transfer to a loaf pan.

  4. Freeze for at least 2 hours.

  5. Scoop out with an ice cream scoop and serve.

  6. Dairy free? Use a dairy-free yogurt. Don’t use a non-fat version.

  7. Note: Any frozen fruit will work, if you don’t like raspberries!

Pumpkin Brownies

Ingredients

⅛ cup Pumpkin, puree, unsweetened - 10 calories

1 Tbsp Almond butter, unsweetened - 101 calories

½ Tbsp Cacao powder - 10 calories

½ Tbsp Maple syrup (Tbsp) - 25 calories

½ Tbsp White chocolate chips, Tbsp - 35 calories

⅛ tsp Baking powder - 0 calories

Instructions
  1. Note: this recipe works best when making 8 servings at once (you will get 16 brownies, 2 brownies per serving)

  2. Note: the entire recipe (8 servings) needs just 1 pinch of baking powder

  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

  4. Mix together all ingredients

  5. Spray a baking pan with an oil spray

  6. Bake for 20 minutes

  7. Let cool before slicing

  8. Enjoy!

  9. No almonds? Any other nut or seed butter is fine.

S’mores Dip

Ingredients

2 Tbsp Chocolate chips, semisweet, Tbsp - 120 calories

⅓ cup Marshmallows, mini - 50 calories

1 Graham crackers - 59 calories

⅛ tsp Salt - 0 calories

Instructions
  1. Mix together chocolate chips, marshmallows, and salt in a small ramekin

  2. Air fry (or bake) at 375 degrees F for 4-5 minutes

  3. Break graham cracker into quarters and dip into s’mores mixture

  4. No gluten? Use gluten-free cookies or graham crackers
