Unique Wedding Registry Items for the Kitchen
When you announce that you are getting married, or you send out bridal shower invitations, one of the first things people ask is where you are registered. Your wedding guests want to buy you a gift that they know you want. A wedding registry is the perfect way to ask for what you want for your wedding gifts and not end up with a thousand of the same salad spinner.
You can register anywhere from Amazon to Bed, Bath and Beyond, to Home Depot, to Williams Sonoma, to Crate & Barrel. So how do you know what is best? You want to pick a store that has a big enough range that you can get a variety in your gifts.
When you are starting to register for wedding gifts, looking at ALL the options can be so overwhelming. How do you know what you will actually use, and what is the best brand for each item? Some brands will be familiar to you, but when looking at higher quality options, you might not recognise the brand names. Is it worth splashing out on Le Creuset or Vitamix? Is the hype real?
It is also a good idea to have gifts that fall into more than one price range so every guest feels like there is something they can get you. Some guests may not be able to afford much more than a toaster oven, others may wish to buy you a full set of pots and pans. Having a price range will allow your guests to feel comfortable no matter their budget.
Unique Wedding Registry Items for the Kitchen
When it comes to kitchen items, you also have to consider how much space you have. An apartment kitchen is a very different scenario to a large family home with a butler’s pantry. Regardless of how much space you have, will the appliance be used enough to justify how much space it takes up in your kitchen? There’s no point in having a juicer gathering so much dust in the back of a cupboard that you never end up dragging it out to use.
There are the obvious items, like cookware sets, dishes, flatware, a slow cooker, and maybe even a stand mixer, but is that all you need for your kitchen? Are there other items that would be more useful in YOUR kitchen? Are there items on your list that are only there because your friend said she uses hers all the time? This is the time to build a list of things that you might only use on special occasions but you also want to make sure you’re getting times tha you’ll actually use.

Nice Mixing Bowl Set
A good set of mixing bowls is an absolute must. Picking a beautiful set will make cooking a joy and you’ll be able to go straight from the kitchen to the dining table without having to find a serving bowl. For a similar reason, I highly recommend getting a beautiful set of cutting boards that can double up as platters too. They are used for so many things in the kitchen, you just can’t go without it. I personally love THIS SET from Pottery Barn, but truly, any set of solid mixing bowls will do.

This Instant Pot
The instant pot is a fad I am completely on board with. If there is a way to get a healthy dinner on the table, even when you didn’t plan ahead, you know I’m a fan! The Instant Pot Ultra is a 10-in1 and really does everything you could wish for it to do, except prep the food ahead of time, but most recipes are so simple! The 6 quart is big enough for all but the largest families, so you probably won’t need bigger, but if you plan to host a lot of large dinners, you might opt for the 8 quart instead.

Soda Stream
If healthy choices are high in your priorities, the soda stream is a game changer. While many people use it to replicate their favorite soda flavors at home, I love it for flavored sparkling water! It is an investment upfront, but it will end up saving you money over buying your LaCroix or Bubbly weekly at the grocery store. Sparkling water is a great way to fulfill the soda cravings without all the extra calories, and the SodaStream makes it easy and convenient.

Vitamix
While a little pricier than other brands, the Vitamix is truly the workhorse of blenders and well worth the cost. One of the reasons I recommend having a good quality blender is because smoothies can be a healthy replacement to most meals, and they are great if you need to take your meal or snack on the go. For some, they need to decide between a high-quality blender or a food processor and the Vitamix wins out for me every time.

Inspiralizer
Lowering your carb intake can be really hard, especially when you start craving some of those old favorites, like noodles! A lot of my low carb recipes use “zoodles” or another kind of vegetable that has been spiralized to use in the place of pasta. Now, if you don’t have a great tool for this job, your only options are to buy pre-spiralized veggies form the frozen foods section, or get really frustrated trying to use ordinary tools for the job. The Insprializer is great quality and has attachments that work for any vegetable! The stainless steel blades ensure easy cutting and easy clean up.

This Bar Cart
You might not have the luxury of an in-home bar counter, but that doesn’t mean you can’t serve your drinks in style. This bar cart from Amazon is so classy and gorgeous! I also love that this one has 3 shelves so you can keep your favorite drinks and anything else you want to have close at hand, whether entertaining guests or for a romantic date night in with your new hubby!

This Le Creuset Classic
The Le Creuset Signature Enameled Cast Iron 3.5 qt Braiser comes in a variety of colors to suit your style, and is the versatile cooking tool that brings it all together. Similar to a Dutch Oven, the lower sides make it better designed for searing and browning. While classified as a braiser, you can also use this pan to poach, sear, roast, stir fry, or brown. GIFT CARDS
OK, I know gift cards are not unique and not specifically for your kitchen, but I believe they are a must on every gift registry! Here’s why: some of your guests may only be able to purchase lower priced gifts, but if they are not quick to shop, they may get to your registry with only high priced items left. If there is an option to add a gift card instead, they will feel better knowing you can use gift cards to purchase the items that you didn’t receive as gifts.
